Agritech Startup WayCool Foods Inks Pact With Yara India
WayCool Foods, a B2B food and agritech platform provider, has expanded its agriculture input portfolio by signing a memorandum of understanding with nitrogen fertiliser producer Yara India.
As per the firm, the partnership aims to offer superior crop nutrition while facilitating chemical and environmental solutions that have minimal impact on soil health and drip irrigation systems that would enhance overall crop productivity.

Founded by Sanjay Dasari and Karthik Jayaraman, WayCool Foods is a Chennai-based B2B food and agritech platform that operates a full-stack, broadline product range across multiple channels and categories, such as fresh produce, staples, and dairy.
As per WayCool Foods, under the MoU, it will list and promote Yara’s products among Outgrow Network Partners and share Package of Practices for 20 crops.
Speaking about the development, WayCool Foods, Co-founder of Sanjay Dasari, said,
“WayCool is transforming the entire food supply chain to a demand-driven one making it profitable for them. We welcome Yara India to WayCool’s partner family in contributing to this mission.”
Sanjay added that this strategic partnership would be the final piece of WayCool integrating the food value chain puzzle, making us a comprehensive soil-to-sale organisation.
Commenting on the development, Sanjiv Kanwar, Managing Director of Yara South Asia, said,

In July 2022, WayCool Foods raised Rs 50 crore (around $6.5 million) from Stride Ventures. Prior to that, in October 2021, the startup raised $13 million in the second tranche of a Series D round.
Several agritech startups have attracted funding this year, including MoooFarm raising $13 million in Series A funding, Falca raising $3 million in pre-series A funding, Pepper Farms raising $1 million, Arya.ag pocketing $60 million in Series C funding, Gurugram-based Agrowave, Grow Indigo, Growcoms, DeHaat, Otipy, and Fyllo, among others.
