Falca, a rural agritech supply chain startup, has raised over $ 3 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. LetsVenture and Mumbai Angels, among other HNIs, also participated in the funding round.

As per the startup, the raised funds will be utilised in scaling the services beyond the current geographies. The funding will also be used to acquire talent for growth and focus on building tech infrastructure for the platform.

Falca | Full Stack Farmer Centric Phygital Platform

Founded by Santosh Danegoudar, Falca is a rural agritech supply chain startup that aims to enhance the farming ecosystem through farmer centric phygital (Physical + Digital) platform by providing input solutions, advisory solutions and market linkages.

The startup offers farming solutions to small & marginal farmers by providing services like quality & authentic inputs to avail machinery on rent, market linkages, storage solutions, advisory & technologies for enhancing farm productivity.

Speaking about the development, Santosh Danegoudar, Founder and CEO of Falca, said,

“We directly work with farmers and offer them end-to-end farming solutions through a tech-based Phygital platform. Our rural presence and technology platform connects the small holder farmers with the end markets for quality inputs, marketing produce, renting machinery, farm advisory and storage services.”

Falca also offers free analytical support to farmers like weather conditions, suitable harvest times, supply-demand gaps, and market prices. Through the platform, agricultural companies can also list their products/commodities.

The agritech startup claims to be working with 1,00,000 lakh farmers and helping them at various stages, from testing the soil to selecting the right fertilizer for the highest yield. It is also working with more than 60 input manufacturers and over 65 corporate buyers, enabling transactions worth Rs 1,400 million.
