Nutrition Snacking Startup Kikibix Raises $300K In Fresh Funding

Kikibix, a Gurugram-based nutrition-snacking startup, has raised $300K in funding led by India’s 9 Unicorn Founders. The funding round saw the participation of Blume Ventures and US-based Angelist.

Startup founders, such as Varun Alagh, Co-founder of Mamaearth, Abhishek Sharma (Co-founder of Fashinza), Lalit Keshre (Co-founder and CEO of Groww), Revant Bhate (Co-founder and CEO of Mosaic Wellness), Dr Vaibhav Kapoor and Garima Sawhney (Co-Founders of Pristyn Care), Prashant Pitti (Co-Founder, EaseMyTrip.com), Asish Mohapatra and Ruchi Kalra (Co-Founders OfBusiness), participated in the funding round.

As per the startup, the raised funds will be used to launch more product categories, build a team and enter more distribution channels across the country.

Founded by Dr Ridhi Kaur in 2022, Kikibix is a Gurugram-based D2C nutrition snacking startup. The startup offers products made from millet and whole grains like jowar, ragi, oats, and sattu.

Speaking about the development, Dr Ridhi Kaur, Founder of Kikibix, said,

“Post-pandemic, 78 per cent of the Indian population feels the need to shift to healthy snacking, but 50 per cent feel the existing snacks are not tasty. Our goal is to make genuinely healthy products with clean ingredients which are also tasty.”

Following an omnichannel approach, Kikibix’s products are available to customers through online and offline channels. In the last 6 months, the Delhi NCR-based nutrition-snacking startup claims to have seen tenfold growth in its monthly revenues. 

The Indian D2C segment has grown exponentially over the years. According to a report by Shiprocket, D2C brands in India are estimated to become a $60 billion industry by FY27

Last month, Off Duty, a Mumbai-based direct-to-consumer apparel brand, raised Rs 4 crore from revenue-based financier Velocity. Also, oral care startup Perfora had raised Series A funding of $2.5 million (around Rs 20.7 crore) led by RPSG Capital Ventures.

Earlier in February, D2C platform Blingg raised pre-seed funding of $100,000 (around Rs 82.7 lakh) led by Decentralized VC. In January, Pune-based direct-to-consumer personal care brand Zlade raised $1.5 million (around Rs 12.3 crore).
