BatteryTech Startup E-TRNL Energy Raises Rs 7.5 Cr In Funding
e-TRNL Energy, a battery tech startup, has raised Rs 7.5 crore in a pre-seed round of funding led by Speciale Invest, a deep-tech venture capital firm. The funding round also saw participation from Micelio Mobility, a clean mobility fund, and CIIE, the innovation continuum built at IIM Ahmedabad.
As per the startup, the raised funds will be used for accelerating the product cycle, reducing the timelines to deliver the products to its customers.

Founded in 2021 by two IITians, Apoorv Shaligram, an alumnus of IIT Roorkee and Michigan State University, and Dr. Uttam Kumar Sen, an IIT Bombay alumnus with a doctorate in high energy density batteries, e-TRNL Energy has developed advanced and safe battery technology, withstanding the harsh conditions of electric mobility, especially in the Indian climate, and still provides value add with fast charging and cost efficiency.
The mission of e-TRNL Energy supports the more significant cause of India’s target of transitioning to 100% electric vehicles by 2030.
Speaking about the development, Apoorv Shaligram, Co-founder of e-TRNL Energy, said,

As per Uttam Kumar Sen, co-founder of e-TRNL Energy, the startup has developed a technology platform that solves the fundamental challenges of fast charging without compromising the energy density, life cycle and safety. The innovation is chemistry and application agnostic, which means it could be deployed across all battery applications, Uttam added.
