Flipspaces, a Mumbai-based virtual-reality-based design and contracting startup, has raised $4 million in funding from its existing investors.

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used for expansion on the West Coast of the US.

A part of the raised funds will also be used to strengthen its integrated tech combined with a global supply chain for SME design and build. Prashasta Seth, former CEO of IIFL AMC, led the investment consortium in this fundign round, where other family groups and funds also participated.

Flipspaces | VR-Based Interior Designing Startup

Founded by Kunal Sharma and Ankur Muchhal in 2015, Flipspaces is a global tech-enabled startup that provides interior design services and builds projects for commercial spaces.

Working towards the discovery, design, and delivery of commercial and retail spaces, the startup offers a full-stack solution for designing and building these spaces. Additionally, they boast a global supply chain platform for interior products and services.

Speaking about the development, Kunal Sharma, founder and chief executive officer at Flipspaces, said,

“We’ve seen growth in the US market combined with good India numbers. Basis this, we aim to improve our tech to enable processes at scale and double down on building on our supply chain capability to serve globally.”

Simulated Virtual Environment for Users

Flipspaces aims to disrupt the way consumers design and execute the interiors of their spaces. As per the startup, its interior design and visualization VR application generates a simulated virtual environment for its users to get a near-real experience.

It comes in as an end-to-end design-to-execution partner for companies looking to build their office, builders looking to differentiate their residential or commercial projects, or players in the managed working space market.

Flipspaces has two offerings – Vizworld and Vizstore. Through Vizworld, the startup offers a full-stack solution for designing and building commercial spaces. Via Vizstore, it offers a variety of furniture and furnishing products across categories. Counting Reebok, Zeta, Indiqube, and Oppo, among others, as its clients, the startup has a presence in 12 cities worldwide, including prominent hubs like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, and even New York.
