Salt Oral Care Secures Pre-Seed Funding, Eyes Manufacturing and Marketing Expansion
Salt Oral Care, an oral care and hygiene brand, has made headlines by raising an undisclosed amount in pre-seed funding.
As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used to improve its manufacturing capabilities.
Additionally, parts of the funds will be used for marketing initiatives and to expand its product offerings as well as its geographical reach. The round, which values the startup at $2.1 million (Rs 18 crore), was led by orthodontist Viraj Doshi. Several other undisclosed angel investors also participated in the funding round.

Founded by Bollywood and TV producers Karanraj Kohli and Viraj Kapur, Salt Oral Care is a premium oral care brand offering a range of products made from all-natural ingredients sourced from forests and other organic sources.
Speaking about the development, Viraj Kapur, Co-founder of SALT, said,

Additionally, the successful funding round perfectly positions the startup to expand its product offerings, reach a wider audience, and further its mission of reimagining oral wellness.

Earlier this year, direct-to-consumer (D2C) oral care startup Perfora raised $2.5 million (around Rs 20.7 crore) in a Series A funding round for scaling its operations on other e-commerce marketplaces as well as its website.
