Airattix, a marketplace for renting out vacant storage and parking spaces for goods storage and car parking, has made headlines by raising Rs 2.30 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. The round saw participation from a group of angel investors in India and the US.

As per the Pune-based startup, the freshly raised funds will be used for business expansion and hiring professionals for their India offices.

Airattix is also looking to extend operations in Dubai.

Airattix | Vacant Storage Spaces and Vacant Parking Slot

Founded by Aditya Kale in 2020, Airattix is a Pune-based marketplace that allows people to list and rent out their vacant storage spaces and parking slots for goods storage and car parking, respectively, to earn rental income.

It enables individuals owning extra unused space, including a garage, warehouse, extra room, basement, attic, or any other secure space, to list it on Airattix for goods storage or parking purposes for verified customers in need of the service.

As per the startup, it has 25,000 users and operates in around 15 cities across India.

Speaking about the development, Aditya Kale, Founder & CEO of Airattix, highlighted that the capital infusion highlights their growth in the storage and parking space industry, also appreciating the trust their investors have placed in them, enabling the startup to expand both in India and internationally.

Kale added,

“With this funding, our goal is to broaden our footprint and assemble dedicated teams to serve each market.”

Aggregator for Vacant Spaces

The startup operates as an aggregator for vacant spaces and does not take responsibility for the quality of services offered by the hosts and the behaviour of the customers.

Airattix provides people with a 30-day minimum booking duration for goods storage, while car park rental can be on a per-day basis. The hosts get rent payments monthly in case of agreements exceeding more than a month’s duration. And if the booking duration is less than a month, the entire payment of the booking duration is provided to the host.
