This week, from 27 November-1 December, several Indian startups across categories raised funds. We will share a few of these updates and provide you with the key points from these funding transactions.

Zyla Health | Healthtech Startup

Zyla Health, a Gurugram-based health-tech startup, has announced raising $4 million in its Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Exfinity Venture Partners, where Sony Innovation Fund, Venture Catalysts, and Aureolis, led by Paula Mariwala, also participated.

As per the Gurugram-based startup, the fresh capital infusion will enable it to accelerate growth across its three key verticals- insurance, corporates, and big pharma. Further, the raised funds will enable the startup to accelerate product integrations across the healthcare ecosystem for scale.

Founded by Khushboo Aggarwal, Tanmay Patil, and Aishwary Bhaskar, Zyla Health is an AI-based healthcare management platform that offers personalized real-time 24×7 care for chronic patients, supported by their in-house care team. 

Last year, in July, Zyla Health secured $1 million (nearly Rs 8 crore) as part of a pre-series A funding round led by Seeders VC.

ShipGlobal | Cross-border Shipping 

ShipGlobal, a logistics service provider to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), raised $2.5 million (Rs 20.8 crore) in a funding round. The funding round was led by early-stage venture capital firm InfoEdge Ventures, which is an early-stage VC fund created by Info Edge and Temasek.

As per the startup, the fresh infusion will enable it to develop its technology stack and expand its business operations across geographies.

Founded by Aayush AnandAngad Arora, and Vaibhav Kapur in 2022, ShipGlobal simplifies global shipping for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India with its comprehensive cross-border shipping dashboard, enabling businesses to broaden their presence worldwide.

Offering a range of services such as customs clearance, tracking, and real-time rates, ShipGlobal claims to have expanded to over 15 regional offices in India.

As per the logistics enabler, it has delivered over half a million packages and has a gross merchandise value of over Rs.3,000 crore.  

PatilKaki | Homemade Snack Brand

PatilKaki, a homemade snack brand, raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by angel network Cap70 Angels. Angel investors Agnelorajesh Athaide and Kailash Biyani also participated in the funding round.

As per the snack brand, the raised funds will be used to scale its operations and expand its sales and distribution setup.  

Founded by Geeta Patil, Vinit Patil, and Darshil Savla in 2020, PatilKaki is a homemade snack brand that claims to make its products without the use of any preservatives or added flavours.  

Twyn | Deeptech Enterprise SaaS Startup

Twyn, a Noida-based deeptech enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup, secured $1.25 million (Rs 10.4 crore) in a pre-Series A round. The funding round was co-led by JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation (JIIF) and ah! Ventures, where Hem Angels, BestVantage, and Beej Network also participated.

As per the Noida-based startup, it will use the funds to expand across sectors such as automotive, petrochemicals, and steel in the Middle East and Europe. Further, the Noida-based startup looks to hire talent for its leadership team in India and Dubai.  

Founded by Avi Dahiya in 2021, Twyn is a deeptech enterprise SaaS startup leveraging emerging technologies like Artificial intelligence and spatial computing to create XR (Extended Reality) based Digital Twins for smart factories. 

Creating smart factories around the globe, these digital twins replicate a live and connected version of the physical asset and environment, bringing back insights from the digital twin to the physical environment for inventory, on-ground optimization of machinery, and human resources for the manufacturers.

PhiCommerce | Omnichannel Digital Payments Platform

PhiCommerce, a Pune-based omnichannel digital payments platform, secured $10 million (Rs 83 crore) in a Series A1 funding round. The round was led by existing Singapore-based investor Beenext and saw participation from Opus Ventures. 

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will enable it to expand into international geographies and accelerate the development of solutions to improve its digital payment offerings. 

Founded by Jose Antony Thattil, Tushar Ashok Shankar, Anil Sohanlal Sharma, and Rajesh Hanumantrao Londhe in 2015, PhiCommerce, with its digital payments processing platform PayPhi, enables businesses to accept digital payments online, in-store, on-the-move and doorstep channels with value-added plug-ins for various industry segments.  

The omni-channel payment processing platform processes digital payments at doorstep, online & in-store across a variety of form factors such as cards, net banking, UPI, Aadhaar, BharatQR, wallets, NEFT, RTGS, and NACH. 

Suind | Agritech Startup

Suind, an agritech startup, raised Rs 5 crore (about $600,000) in a seed funding round. The funding round was led by early-stage venture capital firm Sunicon Ventures and saw participation from Zetta Farms and undisclosed angel investors.  

As per the agritech startup, the fresh capital infusion will enable it to develop its technological stack and improve the scalability of its artificial intelligence (AI)-driven crop protection platform. Further, raised funds will enable the startup to expand its presence, both in India as well as in Europe.  

Founded by Kunal Shrivastava and Kevin Kleber in 2020, Suind offers solutions for real-time crop monitoring and treatment and specializes in developing low-power vision-based AI for drones. 

Operating from Bangalore and Zurich. the low-power vision-based AI allows its drones to function fully autonomously in plantation terrains like tea, rubber, and fruit orchards, among others.  

EMotorad | EV Startup

Inkodop Technologies Pvt Ltd, which operates electric vehicle startup EMotorad, secured around $20 million (Rs 164 crore) in a Series B funding round led by Singapore-based Panthera Growth Partners. 

Comprising $17.5 million in equity investment and $2.5 million of debt infusion, the funding round also saw participation from existing investor Green Frontier Capital, Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal’s startup scale-up platform xto10x, venture debt firm Alteria Capital.

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used for product development and expansion across geographies. Further, the firm plans to undertake inorganic expansion as part of its growth strategy and is specifically eyeing investments in component manufacturing companies.  

Founded by Rajib Gangopadhyay, Kunal Gupta, Aditya Oza, and Sumedh Battewar in 2020, EMotorad is a Pune-based electric vehicle startup that designs and produces electric cycles. The startup claims to have clocked Rs 130 crore in revenue in FY23 and sold 80,000 cycles to date. 

Last year, in October, EMotorad secured Rs 24 crore in a Pre-series A funding round led by Green Frontier Capital (GFC) and Ivy Growth Associates.
