Unstop, a community engagement and hiring platform for students and graduates, has raised $5 million in its first institutional funding round led by Mynavi, Japan’s leading Job Board and HRTech firm.

The funding round also saw participation from Coursera, Venture Catalysts, 9Unicorns, and Pankaj Bansal (Caret Capital).

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used to grow its global presence.

Founded by Ankit Aggarwal in 2019, Unstop is an engagement and hiring platform that connects students across domains in India to a world of opportunities across the globe.

The engagement and hiring platform enables students and freshers to learn, upskill, showcase their skills, gain CV points, and get hired.

As per Aggarwal, the recent funding marked a significant milestone for Unstop, as it brought together investors from diverse parts of the world and various domains, including EdTech and HRTech. The fresh capital infused into the firm would serve as a catalyst to drive growth on all fronts and help Unstop achieve its ambitious goals in the realm of talent and employer engagement, Aggarwal added.

The engagement and hiring platform hosts over 800 prominent brands, such as Reliance, Tata Sons, Flipkart, Amazon, HUL, Reckitt, Accenture, EY, Infosys, Wipro, and other leading recruiters, actively engaging and recruiting talent from its platform.
