EV Plugs | Find Charging Stations On The Go
Founded in 2021 by EV enthusiasts Manish Narang, Kapil Narang and Ashwani Arora, EV Plugs is a Delhi-based startup that enables EV users to find charging stations near them through its app available for both iOS and Android users.
Speaking on the development, Manish Narang, Co-founder of EV Plugs, said,
“The goal we have set upon ourselves is to become the largest aggregator in the EV charging infrastructure space in India. We have observed that the EV adoption in metros is catching up at a much faster rate, and the demand for charging infrastructure is wide. The money raised will allow us to continue our aggressive geographical expansion besides investment in innovation to keep us ahead of the curve.”
The EV charging station aggregator platform covers EV charging stations from brands like Tata Power, Statiq, Magenta, EESL, Ather and many more. Also, EV Plugs claims to have over 1000 verified listings, helping remove the range of anxiety issues that many existing and potential EV owners have.
With increasing partnerships among stakeholders and growing funding, the Indian electric vehicle industry is growing fast. In August 2021, AI-powered electric mobility platform MetroRide raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round.
Also recently, leading EV charging infrastructure player EVRE partnered with smart parking solutions brand Park+ to set up 10,000 charging stations across India over the next two years.
