Electric Mobility Platform MetroRide Raises Seed Funding

MetroRide, an AI-powered electric mobility platform, has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round from angel investors spread across Silicon Valley, New Jersey, and India. These include senior global executives like Sudhir Pai, Bhagirath Tanna, Shailesh Powdwal, and successful serial entrepreneur Sushant Divakar.

As per the startup, it will use the funds to expand its all green and 100% EV fleet’s footprint in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR. Additionally, a part of this funding will go towards enhancing its AI engine – VIKI.

Started by Girish Nagpal and Kaaman Agarwal, MetroRide connects daily commuters to high-frequency hubs like Metro Stations, Universities and Corporate Parks within a 5-mile radius. Operating through its AI-powered cloud-based application, the electric mobility platform provides 100% green travel solutions to its customers.

Speaking on the development, Girish Nagpal, Co-founder and CEO of MetroRide, said,

MetroRide aims to accelerate the EV adoption landscape with its electric vehicles. Within six months of its operations, the AI-powered electric mobility platform claims to have catered to 60,000 customers with an average of 2.01 minutes of wait time per ride.
