D2C Kids Platform Gro Club Raises Rs 4.3 Cr In Fresh Funding

Gro Club, a D2C kids subscription platform, has raised Rs 4.3 crore in funding at a valuation of Rs 25 Crore led by Ramaiah Evolute, a startup wing of MS Ramaiah Group.

The funding round also saw participation from an angel consortium consisting of Chirag Shah of Velvet (Los Angeles), Sanjay Munirathna of Keerthi Group, Isaac Reyes of Ravis (Panama), Deepak Gowda of Ascent Capital and Purushotham R, Amit Nanavati of Juicy Chemistry, Dinesh Talera, Shricharan N J and Sanjay Sunku (Drink Prime).

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will help expand its range and reach new Indian cities.

Founded by Pruthvi Gowda and Hrishikesh Halekote Shivanna, Gro Club offers bicycle subscription service for growing kids and hassle-free ownership for grownups with a subscription price ranging from Rs 250 to Rs 500.

Speaking about the development, Pruthvi Gowda, Co-Founder & CEO of GroClub, said,

“Our goal is to offer top-notch products and create community-driven, enriching experiences for parents and children. With the funds raised, we’ll expand our range and reach new Indian cities.”

As per the startup, while regular bicycles live a 2-year life span, Gro’s model is crafted to keep the bicycles active for about 10 years, thereby delivering 5X value.

Currently available in Bengaluru, Gro Club provides service at the doorstep for the entire period of the subscription. In 16 months, the startup claims to have gained momentum in the market.

It claims to have boarded over 4500 subscribers and currently clocking a subscription monthly revenue rate of Rs 23 lakh. Beyond its subscription service, Gro Club fosters holistic development of kids by teaching them responsible consumption, including a wide variety of digital and outdoor experiences.

Commenting on the development, Samartha Raghava, Chief Strategist, Ramaiah Evolute, said,
