Advancements in tech have enabled us to remove the existing inefficiencies and has resulted in a paradigm shift in several sectors such as healthcare, education, foodtech, logistics, eCommerce, and many others.

Over the last decade, industries have evolved with the integration of tech. But comparing the digitisation in sectors like finance and media, digitisation in healthcare is still in its infancy.

Though digitisation has been consistently spreading its roots in the health sector, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic provided a boost to the healthtech ecosystem, also revealing the inconsistencies in the existing healthcare structure.

Helping hospitals streamline patient data flow across geographies and devices, KareXpert has built an AI-led, cloud-based digital healthcare platform for hospitals. The startup enables exponential growth in healthcare organisations by bringing all the healthcare modules together as a pre-integrated stack.

Digital Healthcare Platform for Hospitals
KareXpert

Founding Team

Started by Nidhi Jain, IIT Roorkee alumnus, KareXpert is a Gurugram-based Reliance-funded venture which has built an AI-led, cloud-based digital healthcare platform for hospitals.

The SaaS-based digital healthcare platform enables exponential growth in healthcare organisations by bringing all the healthcare modules together as a pre-integrated stack, including Advanced HIMS, Telemedicine, Medical IoT, Pharmacy, Advanced BI, Connected Ambulance, and many more.

Nidhi started her work by providing video doctor consultation solutions to patients. Before taking the entrepreneurial plunge, she held product management responsibilities with renowned companies like- Transera and Mahindra Comviva.

How KareXpert Started?

Coming from a family of people working in the healthcare sector and with her own experience in video doctor consultation solutions, Nidhi realised the lack of digital services for doctors.

So, Nidhi pivoted to focus on building B2B solutions, and in 2018, she launched KareXpert to offer an integrated solution that helps hospitals streamline patient data flow across geographies and devices.

USP Of KareXpert

KareXpert offers an integrated solution with over 50 applications that help hospitals streamline patient data flow across geographies and devices. These applications include Advanced HIMS, EMR/EHR, pharmacy, connected ambulance, LIMS, RIS/PACS, e-Claim & insurance, inventory & SCM, queue management, MIS Reports, business intelligence, hospital branded mobile apps and many more.

Nidhi says,

“We are living in a healthcare transformational era right now. Before COVID-19, we had to go and sell our platforms to the hospitals, but now they are coming to us.”

Besides disruptive technology and SaaS-based commercial model, KareXpert has also built the holistic Managed Services model for the Hospitals serving both onsite and offsite support needs bringing complete peace of mind to the customer.

Additionally, the KareXpert team also trains the hospital staff on how to use the platform for streamlining their operations.

Present Situation Of KareXpert

Operating on a monthly subscription basis, KareXpert charges the hospital per bed or patient. The charges also depend on the features or applications the hospital opts for.

Backed by Reliance, KareXpert now looks to raise its next round of funding this year. Currently, the SaaS-based digital healthcare platform works with about 100 hospitals, including Reliance Foundation Hospitals, MD City Hospital, Paras Hospitals, and Center for Sight, among others.

Future Plans

As per Nidhi, the startup is looking to onboard 1,000 hospitals at least this year, with the long-term vision to digitise 100,000 hospitals across the globe in the next five years.

Digitally transforming hospitals, KareXpert is also looking to add more applications to our platform.
