FamPay, a teen-focussed payments platform, stated that it had signed a deal with card issuer Visa Inc to launch numberless, prepaid cards for teenagers.
The card will enable teenagers to make NFC-powered payments. Additionally, they will be able to customise the cards to their liking using different fonts, doodles, and unique names, FamPay said in a press release.
Founded by IIT Roorkee graduates Kush Taneja and Sambhav Jain, FamPay aims at making payments smooth and fun for teenagers. With FamPay, teens can do UPI, P2P, and card payments without the need to set up a bank account.

The startup had earlier been issuing cards on the RuPay network. With this deal with Visa, the Visa cards will come with 4X rewards on every spend, complimentary subscriptions to teen brands, and Visa-specific offers.
FamPay first launched virtual Visa cards in May this year. The card received incredible traction, and more than two lakh users adopted it. The Visa numberless card will come in two variants — the FamCard and FamCard Me. FamCard will not have any personalisation options, whereas FamCard Me will have those options.
