Founded by Sudip Ghose, Acefour Accessories is a D2C brand in the travel accessories segment. Acefour is building India’s most prominent and global D2C sustainable travel accessories brand.

The founder, Sudip Ghose,  has over two decades of experience in the travel gear industry and donned leadership roles at VIP Industries and Samsonite India. Sudip was part of key brands in the segment, such as American Tourister, Skybags, Lavie, and Caprese.

Speaking on the fundraise, Sudip Ghose, Founder of Acefour, said,

“It reiterates that we are on the right path where we want to make travel a sustainable experience with products that save nature.”

As per Acefour Accessories, the $3.5 billion Indian luggage market, which is highly fragmented, is ready for disruption, and Acefour aims to launch its own brand Uppercase.

Its brand Uppercase is built specifically for the fashion-forward, socially active new age customer while sharing their concern for the planet.

Commenting on the development, Nikhil Vora, Founder and CEO of Sixth Sense Ventures, said,

The Indian luggage industry has been dormant for too long, waiting to be disrupted. With all incumbents combined holding just around 30 percent share in the organised segment, the market is highly fragmented, presenting a huge opportunity for Acefour.”

As per a new report by Shiprocket, Direct-to-consumer (D2C) segment, which is presently a $12 billion market, is estimated to become a $60 billion industry by FY27.  In June 2022, several D2C brands across categories, including Mumbai-based health snack D2C startup Open Secret and D2C oral beauty and wellness brand Perfora, raised funds.
