Snaptrude, a cloud-based collaborative building design software provider, has secured $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Foundamental VC and Accel.

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will enable it to strengthen its go-to-market strategy, hire talent, and expand its product and engineering teams.

Additionally, the freshly raised funds will help improve the platform’s capabilities and user experience.

Snaptrude | Browser-based Conceptual BIM Tool

Founded by Altaf Ganihar in 2017, Snaptrude is a collaborative, browser-based conceptual Building Information Modeling (BIM) tool that aims to build a modern operating system for the design-construction process.

The platform provides real-time collaboration, which means you can plan, design, and visualize with the entire project team from any browser or device and eventually share models and document communication in real time. It also automatically generates essential project information, which includes project schedules, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and climate studies.

Speaking about the development, Altaf Ganihar, Founder of Snaptrude, highlighted his delight to have the renewed support of the investors- Accel and Foundamental.

Powered by Automation and Intelligent Building Information Modeling

The cloud-based collaborative building design platform is powered by automation and intelligent Building Information Modeling (BIM). It combines smart, parametric modeling, easy in-browser collaboration, and strong interoperability with Revit, enabling architects and interior designers to sketch and model better buildings, faster.

As per the startup, there’s a huge productivity problem, becoming a choking point for innovation, which the startup aims to solve through its offerings.

This 3D modeling tool claims to speed up the design process for projects of all scales with intelligent automation. Operating with a staff of over 50 members, Snaptrude claims to serve over 20,000 users and over 15 global firms across 30+ countries, including India, the US, and the UK.

Last year, Snaptrude raised $6.6 million in its seed funding round.
