Smarter Dharma, a Bengaluru-based startup offering sustainable solutions for real estate firms, has secured $500,000 in a seed funding round from Zerodha’s Rainmatter, Gruhas, and Anthill Ventures, among others.

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will enable it to build its technology platform and business development team to scale across the nation.

Founded by Sriram Kuchimanchi, Smarter Dharma is a sustainability resource planning platform for real estate that auto-generates tailored sustainable solutions & seamlessly integrates them into the building design. The Bengaluru-based startup generates business intelligence by combining data analytics and machine learning algorithms, taking into consideration- resource availability challenges, consumption predictors, and local solutions.

Speaking about the development, Sriram Kuchimanchi, Founder and CEO of Smarter Dharma, stated that over the years Smarter Dharma has mitigated more than 50,000 tons of CO2 emissions and created business value for our customers.

Kuchimanchi added,

“This fund raise will enable us to build our technology platform and business development team to scale across the country. And, this would set us on our path to mitigating a billion tons of CO2 emissions by 2030.”

Working towards reducing the carbon footprint of companies in the real estate sector, Smarter Dharma also plans to launch a sustainable materials and solutions marketplace for the real estate sector.

As per Abhijeet Pai, Co-founder of Gruhas, the integration of enterprise SaaS and software for construction has just begun. He also highlighted that there is an immense potential to grow leaps and bounds to pave the way for sustainable construction and evaluation.

Working with a goal to empower all stakeholders to make informed choices and contribute towards India’s fulfillment of its COP-26 INDC commitments, the startup, right from the concept stage of real estate products, uses a data-science engine to bring tangibility to sustainability.

Leveraging data analytics and patented machine learning algorithms, Smarter Dharma aims to help real estate firms achieve net zero goals while streamlining decision-making processes for infrastructure projects.
