AI-Driven Road Safety Startup Sapience Automata Raises INR 1.75 CR in Seed Funding from Inflection Point Ventures

Sapience Automata, an AI-powered driver assistance technology startup, has made headlines by raising INR 1.75 CR in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used to grow sales for Driver camera and build key partnerships in the automotive domain. Further, the raised capital will enable the startup to continue developing Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) technology and filing international patents.

Founded by Satyajit Neogi, along with co-founder Unmesh Dabhade in 2021, Sapience Automata is an AI-powered driver assistance technology startup focused on revolutionizing road safety in India through plug-and-play driver assistance technology. 

Sapience Automata develops innovative solutions that address the unique challenges of Indian roads, ensuring maximum effectiveness and safety for drivers. Through its custom-made products and applications, the firm stands out in the market, providing solutions that are tailored to the specific needs and conditions of Indian drivers, setting them apart from competitors.

Satyajit Neogi, CEO & CTO of Sapience Automata, highlighted the growing number of deaths and critical injuries every year from road accidents, mentioning that India reports 1.5 lakh deaths and 5 lakh critical injuries every year from road accidents. Neogi added that the firm is committed to reducing road accidents in India by 90% by 2030. 

Commenting on the development, Vikram Ramasubramanian, Partner at Inflection Point Ventures, stated that most people know someone who has experienced a major road accident.

Ramasubramanian added,

Operating primarily from Bangalore, the AI-powered driver assistance technology startup currently focuses on commercial fleets, laying the foundation for future expansion and scalability in the Indian B2C market. With this substantial investment, Sapience Automata aims to eliminate accidents and develop cutting-edge safety solutions accessible to all drivers.
