Cusmat | Metaverse-based Skilling Platform
Founded by Abhinav Ayan and Anirban Jyoti Chakravorty in 2016, Cusmat is a Bengaluru-based startup that leverages artificial intelligence and the internet of things for recreating industrial facilities and training and assessing people working in such enterprises.
It leverages innovative immersive technologies to help industries bridge the skill gap and enables ‘Learning by doing’ to deliver faster upskilling, increased productivity and greater safety in industrial environments.
Speaking about the development, Anirban Chakravorty, Co-founder and COO at Cusmat, said,
“Core industries like mining, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and logistics typically see high attrition rates, which cause discontinuity in peak productivity levels. Our goal has consistently remained to positively impact the top line and bottom line by improving the skill level of their operators and technicians.”
The Bengaluru-based startup enables companies to onboard, assess, train, upskill and track the learning progress of employees. Cusmat, with its standardized training solutions, claims to maximize productivity by 30-40%, safety by 50-60% accident reduction, and minimize running costs for industries (Mining & Infrastructure, Logistics & Warehousing, Manufacturing, OEM, Healthcare).
The startup is currently operating in APAC and MEA regions. It counts firms like ABB, Vedanta, Tata Steel Mining, Dr Reddy’s, Voltas, DHL, DTDC, Schneider Electric, Toshiba Mitsubishi and Ultratech as its clientele.
Commenting on the development, Bala Srinivasa, managing director of Arkam Ventures, said,
“Industrial workers in sectors like mining, pharma, logistics, steel operate complex and high-cost machinery that directly impacts top line and efficiency. Cusmat’s VR based industrial skilling software is a game changer that dramatically improves worker productivity and reduces training time from months to days.”
Recently, Heuristix Digital Technologies Pvt Ltd, which operates skill development startup Disprz, raised undisclosed capital as part of its bridge funding round.
