Awign, a Bengaluru-based work fulfilment platform, has raised $15 million in a Series B round co-led by Bertelsmann India Investments and Amicus Capital Partners. 

The funding round also saw participation from Mynavi Corporation and existing investors- Unitus Ventures and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF).

As per the startup, the raised funds will be used to enhance its technological capabilities, expand digital services into global markets, and bolster supply and demand acquisitions.

Founded by Annanya Sarthak, Gurpreet Singh, and Praveen Sah in 2016, Awign is a work fulfilment platform that works with enterprises to take up intricate work across the service lines of auditing, diligence, assessments, proctoring, last-mile delivery, new business development, and digital gigs.

Focussed on the gig workforce, Awign solves end-to-end outcome-based execution, along with discovery, deployment, and payroll management. It claims to have one million gig partners, over 100 large marquee enterprises as customers, and nine core enterprise functions.

Speaking about the development, Annanya Sarthak, CEO and Co-founder of Awign, said,

 As per Gurpreet Singh, CRO and Co-founder of Awign, the average payouts for Awign’s gig partners have grown 2X in the last 24 months. The new funds will help them enable a larger pool of gig partners to find employment opportunities and earn their livelihoods in a sustainable way, added Gurpreet.
