Chargebee was founded by 4 friends – Rajaraman, KP Saravanan, Krish Subramanian, and Thiyagarajan T. Their goal was to build a company together.
After some time, they founded a subscription-based billing system called Chargebee. And by January 2013, they had their first customer using the Chargebee billing platform.
Chargebee helps maintain subscriptions, automate billing, and simplify accounting.

After receiving Series D funding, Krish Subramanian, Co-founder & CEO at Chargebee said,
“The last few years have been particularly exciting for us at Chargebee. We’ve seen the scale of operations of our existing and new customers grow at a CAGR of over 150% year-on-year.”
Chargebee plans to fill gaps in the subscription management ecosystem. Chargebee team is also planning to upscale automation in this field and to support business revenue operations.
