Noida-Based Cold Chain Startup Inficold Raises $900,000 In Funding

Noida-based startup Inficold has raised $900,000 (Rs 6.5 crore approximately) as a part of its Pre-Series A funding round from RVCF and other undisclosed HNIs. 

As per the Inficold, it will use the raised funds to expand its overall manufacturing, sales, and servicing capabilities.

Started by Himanshu Pokharna and Nitin Goel in 2015, Inficold is a Noida-based cold chain solution provider specifically in off-grid solar applications such as cold storage, milk cooling, air-conditioning.

Talking about the startup, Nitin Goel, Co-founder and CEO of Inficold, said,

”We had started Inficold with the mission to utilise the immense potential of cold chain solutions to increase the output of Indian agriculture. Over the last year, the accelerated growth that we have seen is clear evidence of the viability of our business model. RVCF also believes in the potential of cold chain solutions to transform Indian agriculture.”

The startup has developed solar cold storage and solar milk chiller, which provide reliable 24×7 cooling without using electrical batteries, reducing the cost of ownership and operation for farmers. 

Inficold has installations in more than 17 India states, with a strong presence in northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura.
