Kids Focussed Clothing Startup Cub McPaws Raises $800K In A Pre-Series A Funding

Augmented Reality (AR) enabled startup Cub McPaws has raised $800K in a Pre-Series A funding from a group of investors from the US, Japan, Dubai, and India.

The funding round also saw participation from existing investor Samyakth Capital.

As per the startup, it plans to use the funding amount to scale up its distribution capabilities and enhance its technology. Cub McPaws also plans on hiring senior professionals and expanding its customer base.

Talking about his funding round, Abhay Bhat (Co-Founder of Cub McPaws) said,

“Cub McPaws is already a phenomenon among kids and parents across India. The new investment will help us scale our technology offering and create a complete range of products. We will explore international markets where our products have generated significant interest. We are in discussion with an ex-Facebook, Uber senior executive to head our technology team.”

Started by Abhay Bhat and Kinnar Shah in 2018, Cub McPaws is a Mumbai-based kids clothing brand focus on delivering modern, chic designs for boys and girls.

Their product line includes AR-enabled clothing line called Magic T-shirts and Terra, which is a 100% chemical-free and organic range of clothing.

Before this funding round, Cub McPaws had earlier raised Pre-Seed funding round from Venture Catalysts in December 2019.
