In-flight Wi-Fi services will soon be available to passengers by Airlines operating in India.
As per the government notification,
“The Pilot-in-Command may permit the access of Internet services by passengers on board an aircraft in flight, through Wi-Fi onboard, when laptop, smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, e-reader or a point of sale device is used in flight mode or airplane mode.”
In-flight Wi-Fi facilities will enable passengers to, watch movies, chatting, and do other basic internet functions. Though, the Wi-Fi services will not be available for free as airlines have to spend a lot to install the required connectivity equipment.
