To spread awareness about and create a database of some of India’s most promising startups, The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has launched an online discovery platform.

The platform ‘Startup India Showcase’ aims to act as a repository of startups that have proved their capabilities.

As per DPIIT, startups will go through multiple screening and evaluation rounds and only handpicked startups will get mentioned on the website.

The platform will also feature companies that have won national competitions, are solving critical problems, are successful sellers on the Government e-Marketplace portal, and have shown exceptional innovation in their sectors.

Selected startups will have their profile page on the Startup India Showcase website. The profile includes a detailed pitch about their product and innovation, along with video and PDF links.

This will be beneficial for the listed entities as they will also be considered by the government and corporate buyers as potential suppliers of goods or services.
