Gaming Platform Gamezop Raises 32 Crore In Series A Funding Round
Delhi-based gaming platform Gamezop has raised Rs 32 crores ($4.3 million) in Series A funding from BITKRAFT Ventures, FJ Labs, and Velo Partners.
As per Gamezop, it will use the raised funding to grow the mobile esports format. Gamezop also plans to establish a presence in select overseas markets through its piggybacking model.
Started by Gaurav Agarwal and Yashash Agarwal in 2015, Gamezop aggregates, optimise, and publishes HTML5 games.
With more than 1,600 partner apps as of today, this gaming platform licenses HTML5 games from developers and embeds them in popular apps – including Myntra, MX Player, Grofers, ShareChat, and PhonePe.
Talking about the platform and its expected growth, Gaurav, Co-founder Gamezop, said,
“At current levels, our revenue numbers are expected to grow five to six times in the next 12 months. We are also exploring other formats of real money gaming as well as free-to-play gaming. With the present user base of 34 million monthly active users, we have the numbers to test any new gaming format and analysing results quickly.”
