Esports content platform AFK Gaming has raised $200,000 in pre-Series A funding round from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).

Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) is an early-stage investing platform.

As per the startup, it will use this funding amount to link reach to revenue through programmatic and direct advertising.

The startup also plans to expand the scope of coverage to additional esport titles in Southeast Asia.

Started by Nishant Patel, Siddharth Nayyar and Rakesh Ramchandran in 2012, AFK Gaming is an Indian esports content company that creates written, video, social and live content.

Talking about this funding round, Nishant Patel, Co-Founder of AFK Gaming, said,

“Despite some of the best esports teams, tournaments and players hailing from the Asian region, there is a distinct lack of coverage available for the global audience. AFK Gaming aims to bridge this gap by marrying our understanding of esports content creation with IPV’s expertise in building scalable, sustainable businesses.”

Claimed to have grown 4x since January 2020, AFK Gaming has been achieving 15 million+ monthly impressions across the web, video, and social media.
