Auto Group CarDekho Plans Expansion Across Southeast Asia In Next Two Years
Auto group CarDekho is pressing ahead with its international expansion plans with aims to be present across South-East Asia in the next two years.
According to a top company official, CarDekho is currently in the process of deploying $25 million for the expansion programme. Also, CarDekho Group will enter Malaysia this year, followed by Thailand and Vietnam next year.
In its international business, the automotive platform will focus on new auto, used auto, media sales and solutions, finance, auctions and B2C retail.
Commenting on the development, Umang Kumar, CarDekho Group President, said,
“The idea very clearly is that we will be a pan South-East Asia (player) and all other major markets with our new auto business within the next two years. On the auto finance side, we will probably see enter about three-odd markets.”
In 2016, the automotive platform entered Indonesia under the brand name OTO.com. The group forayed into the Philippines and acquired Carmudi later in 2019.
In India, the CarDekho Group operates auto portals such as ZigWheels.com, BikeDekho.com, CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com, and PowerDrift.com. The automotive group also offers customers avenues for selling and buying used cars and provides financing facilities.
