Venture capital and private equity firm Accel has called for applications for consumer tech companies in the idea stage to apply to the SeedtoScale programme – Consumer Tech cohort.

As per Accel, the applications for this programme will close on October 20. And for the programme, only ten startups will be selected to be the part.

Talking about the programme, Anand Daniel, Partner at Accel, said,

“This programme is not an accelerator programme. It helps founders to take the idea forward by finding a product-market-fit. This graduates the founder to an accelerator programme if they want to get into one.”

He added, “Remember, coming to this programme gives them access to knowledge and founders who have scaled companies. It is not a programme where we will take any equity in the company.”

It is a 12-week programme that will have sessions for founders, where they will learn what to expect from the market in the first 500 days.

The founders will also learn what it takes to get to 100,000 users.

In August 2020, to help founders at the seed stage scale fast, Accel also launched SeedtoScale programme for SaaS founders.
