Virtual recruitment platform Expertia AI has raised $1.2 million in its latest funding round led by marquee investors Chiratae Ventures and Endiya Partners.

The funding round also saw participation from Entrepreneur First and angel investor Archana Priyadarshini.

Expertia AI plans to use the funds for assembling a team of artificial intelligence (AI) researchers and software engineers and creating a brand & product awareness in the Indian market.

Founded by Akshay Gugnani and Kanishk Shukla in 2021, Expertia AI is an HRTech software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that offers hiring solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The platform allows recruiters to publish jobs on more than 25 top portals in a single click and screen candidates to find the top 10 applicants for any tech job. 

Speaking about the development, Akshay Gugnani, Co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO), said,

“We are targeting 100 Job Board integrations in FY 23 up from 25 currently and improve the accuracy of our Top Talent recommendation up from 75% to 85% by the end of the year, surpassing the abilities of a trained recruiter.”

Expertia AI plans to capture a slice of the over $500 billion annual spend on recruitment and associated technology done by businesses globally.

The startup claims to have over 500 companies, 1000 recruiters and over 100k professionals using its platform to automate the sourcing of qualified candidates and relevant jobs.
