Venture Catalysts has invested an undisclosed amount as seed funding in an on-demand baggage delivery platform CarterX.

The funding round also saw participation from Mumbai Angel Network and JPIN, along with angel investors like Swati Mehra and Nikhil Vora (Founders of Sixth Sense Ventures).

Started by Ramya Reddy and Harsha Vardhan in 2017, CarterX is an airport baggage delivery service that lets passengers book, move, and track their baggages on any device.

Speaking on the development, Harsha Vardhan, Co-founder of CarterX, said,

“This fund raise round will aide CarterX to forge more alliances with VCATs and scale across more airports to offer a host of airport services under one platform to penetrate deeper into the market.”

As per CarterX, it has completed over 1 lakh orders. The startup added that it makes sure that each baggage is sanitised, tracked and transported anywhere in India to the airports they service.
Now, CarterX aims to partner with more airlines and airports in the next few months.

Anuj Golecha, Co-Founder, Venture Catalysts, said,

“The idea of unfussy transfer (to and from the airport) of baggage will revolutionise the travel logistics industry and allow passengers to experience the new age of travelling from the first seat.”

Established in 2016, Venture Catalysts is Asia’s largest & No. 1 integrated incubator that provides an investment of $500K to $1Mn per startup with incubation support for 1 year.
