Salesforce Invests $15M In HR Tech Platform ‘Darwinbox’
Salesforce Ventures, the investment arm of Salesforce Inc., has invested $15 million in Darwinbox, an enterprise human resources (HR) technology platform, making this its first investment in an Indian venture.
Started by Chaitanya Peddi, Jayant Paleti, and Rohit Chennamaneni in 2015, Darwinbox is an enterprise human resources (HR) technology platform.
The HR tech platform offers an end to end HR system and allows enterprises to manage the entire employee lifecycle on one unified platform.
Speaking on the investment, Jayant Paleti said,
“We will work with Salesforce closely to maximize value for our customers, continue building out our product stack, and accelerate global expansion.”
Some of Darwinbox’s customers include NSE, Adani, Mahindra, Kotak, TVS, Arvind, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Bharti AXA, Swiggy, and Bigbasket.
“In the next 1-2 years, we want to build a great product story from India, heavily invest in deep tech and product, and build out data analytics capabilities by leaning on Salesforce to actually maximise value for clients.”
