Why are these registrations needed?

 

Import Export Code (IEC)– If your business deals with importing and exporting products, an IEC is mandatory.

Import Export Code (IEC) is a 10 digit identification number, issued by the DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade.

 

Shop Establishment- If you want to start a shop, hotel or some saleable place, a shop establishment registration is required.

Under the Shops and Establishment Act, it is important for every new shop or establishment to get a Shop Establishment Registration.

Generally, it takes not more than 30 days to get your Shop Establishment Registration done and it is valid for 1 year.

 

Partnership Registration- It is done by companies which have two or more founding members.

In here, an agreement regarding the rights, responsibilities, percentage in profits of each founding member is presented.

 

GST Registration- GST registration is the need of the hour and is required by the majority of businessesAnd if you want your business to get GST Registered, The StartUp Lab will help you.

 

ISO Registration– Under ISO registration process, your product is checked for standardization and quality. Only after checking the product, ISO registration is done.

 

Excise Registration- It is a one-time registration required by businesses who deal or manufacture excisable goods.

 

NGO/ Trust Registration- Depending upon the working of an NGO, NGO registration in India can be done under three ways

  • Registering it as a trust
  • Registering it as a society
  • Registering it as a section 8 company

And registering NGO as one of these three, three different acts are used. These are

 

  • Indian Trusts Act, 1882 for registering NGO as Trust.
  • Societies Registration Act, 1860 for registering NGO as Society.
  • Companies Act, 2013 for registering NGO as Section 8 Company.
