MeitY and Nasscom to set up Centre of Excellence for IoT
Ministry of information and technology (MeitY) has partnered with the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) to promote innovations based on Internet-of-Things (IoT). For that, the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for IoT will be set up at the Andhra University in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
This initiative will help the startup community to build unique applications based on IoT technology. Some tech companies are also expected to provide training, resources and domain expertise to help startups under this program. These companies will help startups to boost innovation in robotics, healthtech, agritech, mobility, etc.
For this project, MeitY and Nasscom will provide a grant of Rs. 9.5 Crore, and Rs. 22.5 Crore respectively.
