Oasis Fertility has announced an investment from Kedaara Capital, a private equity firm in India, for a significant minority stake in the company.

With this deal, InvAscent, which invested in Oasis Fertility in 2016, will exit the startup.

Founded by Dr Durga G Rao and Kiran Gadela, Oasis Fertility is a one-stop centre for advanced fertility treatments. The startup has scaled to a network of 26 clinics across 16 cities while doubling its revenues in the last three years.

Speaking about the development, Kiran Gadela, Co-founder and Managing Director of Oasis Fertility, said,

It is a ‘one-stop’ single-day care clinic where consultation, investigation and treatment are taken care of during the course of a single day. The healthcare provider also runs an accredited in-house training academy, Oasis School for Human Embryology and Reproductive Medicine (OSHERM), which has trained over 200 medical professionals and published over 60 research papers.

Recently, the startup launched first-of-its-kind andrology (male infertility) practice called AndroLife.

Kedaara Capital is an operationally oriented private equity firm pursuing control and minority investment opportunities in India. This deal marked Kedaara’s second investment in the single speciality healthcare segment after ASG Eye Hospitals.

Kedaara, with this $50 million transaction and a commitment to deploy further capital for strategic acquisitions, aims to support Oasis in becoming the leading fertility chain in India and adjacent markets.
