Full-stack solutions platform for MSMEs Instamojo has announced its first-ever acquihire of Showman, a Bengaluru-based virtual theatre and vernacular content platform.

Speaking about the new development, Akash Gehani, Co-founder and COO of Instamojo, said,

With this deal, Co-founder and CEO of Showman Kshitij Bhatawdekar will join Instamojo as a Product Manager, while Rutveez Roopam Rout, Co-founder and COO of Showman, will be joining as a User Research Manager.

Started in 2020, Showman is a virtual theatre that lets users watch movies on the same day of release anywhere across the world.

Kshitij Bhatawdekar, Co-founder of Showman, talked about joining the Instamojo team and said he and Rutveez are excited and looking forward to beginning this new phase.

Kshitij said,
