According to a recent study, Tik Tok users in India spent over 5.5 Billion hours in 2019.
This number was 900 Million hours in 2018. The increase in monthly users shows the exponential growth of Tik Tok in the past few years.
According to App Annie (mobile and data analytics firm), the number of monthly active users on TikTok increased by 90% as of December 2019, as compared to the same period in the previous year.
Lexi Sydow, senior market insights manager at App Annie, stated that time spent on Tiktok in India was more than the next 11 countries combined.
With this increase in the rise of this video sharing app, Google is also experimenting with a new social video sharing platform named Tangi, which showcases quick do-it-yourself (DIY) videos that help people discover new stuff every day.
