[Indian Startup Funding Weekly Roundup Jan 20 to Jan 24] Dream Aerospace, VuNet Systems, and Two Others Raise Funding

Several Indian startups have raised funds across various categories from Jan 20 to Jan 24, a Aerospace and defense startup, Business journey observability provider, AI infrastructure startup and more. We will highlight four such transactions, including how these startups plan to use the raised capital.

Dream Aerospace has raised Rs 3 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).

As per the startup, the fresh funds will be allocated towards accelerating the development of its ATOM Thruster, validating the propulsion system, and establishing an in-house high-altitude test facility.

Co-founded in 2022 by Hari Krishnan KJ and Rogith S, Dream Aerospace aims to empower satellite propulsion systems by offering high-performance, cost-effective, and scalable solutions tailored to diverse mission needs. It leverages indigenous technology and aligns with India’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives, making it a preferred partner for both commercial and defense applications.

VuNet Systems has raised Rs 60 crore (around $6.94 million) in a Series B funding round led by Pravega Ventures. The round also saw participation from Kotak Securities and existing investors such as Mela Ventures, Athera Venture Partners, Dallas Venture Capital, and TVS Capital Funds.

As per the startup, the funding will be utilized for global expansion, accelerating its growth in India, improving the product stack, and enhancing sales and marketing.

Co-founded in 2014 by Ashwin Ramachandran, Bharat Joshi, and Jithesh Kaveetil, VuNet helps financial institutions monitor and optimize their information technology operations and customer journeys. The company provides deep observability into business journeys to reduce failures and enhance the overall customer experience.

Pipeshift has raised $2.5 million in a seed round led by Y Combinator and SenseAI Ventures. The round also saw participation from Arka Venture Labs, Good News Ventures, Nivesha Ventures, Astir VC, GradCapital, and MyAsiaVC.

Pipeshift is launching a next-generation Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that enables engineering teams to orchestrate AI workloads across any infrastructure—cloud or on-premises—with unprecedented speed and control.

Ati Motors has raised $20 million in its Series B round, led by Walden Catalyst Ventures (WCV) and NGP Capital (NGP), with participation from current investors including True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners, and Blume Ventures.

As per the startup, the funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand Ati Motors’ market presence in North America and APAC, and strengthen its position.

Ati Motors develops autonomous mobile robots that optimize productivity and streamline operations in sectors such as warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing. The company recently established operations in Mexico and has strengthened its presence across the US, India, and Southeast Asia. It is currently expanding its North American headquarters in Detroit, MI.
