In a bid to help Indian startups grow, the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has launched ‘Circle Program’, a mentoring programme for Indian startups.

‘Circle Program’ will provide mentorship to Indian startups by bringing few Indian entrepreneurs as mentors. Founders like Nikhil Kamath (Co-founder and CIO, Zerodha), Dinesh Agarwal (CEO, IndiaMart), Adhil Shetty (CEO, BankBazaar), Rajesh Magow (Group CEO of MakeMyTrip) are among the mentors of the mentoring programme.

Indian startups with a valuation of Rs 35-75 crore will be considered for the Circle 1 program. Ten mentors have joined the initiative so far and are expected to interview entrepreneurs. The successful candidates will be accepted into the programme.

Sharing few details of the mentoring programme, Vivek Bhargava (Chairman, IAMAI Startup Committee) said as many as 32 entrepreneurs will join the first circle Program by June this year. As per Vivek, the subscription fee for the programme is Rs 2 lakh (per annum) which can be renewed.

Speaking about the subscription fee for the programme, Bhargava said,

“This will take care of the content we create for them. For example, they can get access to Harvard University courses at a specially negotiated price.”

Bhargava added,

“We want to do one circle, make sure it delivers value to entrepreneurs and mentors and will think about the next circle after that.”
