As per the startup, it will use the funding amount to expand its services across the nation and build technology, customer base, crew safety and sanitisation.

Founded by Danish Chopra, Mukul Shah and Shailesh Gupta in 2019, Yolo Bus is a Gurugram- based TravelTech startup. The startup aims to help Indian travellers escape the tedious, unsafe, unhygienic and untimely bus travelling experience they have been facing for decades.

Yolo Bus is also prepared to face this COVID-19 situation, as every passenger will be checked with infrared temperature measuring guns before onboarding.

Keeping the present situation in mind, Shailesh Gupta (Founder & CEO of Yolobus) said customers will be able to pre-order essential PPE kits and know the temperature of the bus crew members before boarding the bus.

Shailesh Gupta also said,

“As an industry, we’re just scratching the surface of how India’s bus services can be when married to our uber offerings of safety, sanitisation and comfort.”

Talking about Yolo Bus, Suvir Sujan, MD of Nexus Venture Partners, said,

“Intercity ground mobility in India hasn’t kept up with the needs of the discerning urban traveller and is ripe for disruption. Built on the pillars of Safety, Comfort and Convenience, the Yolo Bus team is using technology and data science to redefine intercity bus travel experience. I am excited to partner with them in their journey.”
