The Flipkart Group has acquired Bengaluru-based AR startup – Scapic.

As part of the deal, Scapic’s team will be joining Flipkart, and with this acquisition, Flipkart aims to enhance its shopping experience capabilities.

As per the press statement shared by Flipkart, the team will work towards accelerating the company’s efforts to provide deeper camera experiences, virtual storefronts, and new opportunities for brand advertising on its platform. 

Founded by Sai Krishna V K and Ajay Ponna Venkatesh, Scapic has built a unique SaaS cloud platform that aims to provide the simplest way you create, share and explore AR, VR & 3D experiences.

Scapic allows users to create and build VR and AR experiences through a web browser. The startup is already serving clients across marketing and eCommerce verticals.

Talking about Scapic, VK Sai Krishna and Ajay PV said,
