This Edtech Startup Is Providing Students With All The Necessary Opportunities They Require To Succeed
Only a few sectors stood strong, during the COVID-19 pandemic and the edtech sector is among such sectors.
Not only it stood strong, but it is growing exponentially as schools and colleges are closed, and the only option left is to study online.
Many industry experts believe that edtech is still in its formative years, and still, a lot can be achieved.
There are various edtech startups in India, and each has its USP.
Today’s startup story is about an edtech startup, Precisely, that provide students with international opportunities like scholarships, internships, competitions, conferences and more.
Not only just an opportunity discovery hub but this startup has evolved itself and is striving to give more to the students.
Startup Story: Precisely | A Opportunity Discovery Platform
Precisely Founders
Precisely is a Delhi-based Edtech startup and was founded by Saurabh Patel, Kirti Krishan, Desh Deepak Dwivedi, Hitesh Gautam, and Pankaj Baranwal in 2018.
Initially, it started as an opportunity aggregation and discovery platform and know it has evolved itself as a learning management system (LMS) as well.
How Precisely Started?
Precisely started with an aim to provide educational awareness and solve the lack of exposure problem, that most of the students face, with its platform.
The seed of Precisely was sown at the time when the team realised the existing issues of limited educational opportunities for students and no platform available to solve the issue.
Shedding light on the inception story of Precisely, Co-founder and Director Kirti Krishan, in an interview said,
“We had an educational venture in mind since 2017 while doing some pro bono work with NGOs. We got a chance to present our models at foreign conferences and seminars. That is when we realised that higher education opportunities were limited, and there was no such platform for students to discover them. They would depend on their own contacts to understand the application criteria or would end up spending huge amounts of money on career counselling.”
So, to provide students with international opportunities like scholarships, internships, competitions, conferences and more, they created Precisely.
Now, Precisely is more than just an opportunity hub as it offers a learning management system, Learnage, as well.
USP Of Precisely
Precisely aims to bridge the gap between the students and the opportunities they require to succeed.
Precisely helps students find and apply to the latest international opportunities so that they can excel. These opportunities include scholarships, competitions, conferences, internships, and more.
In short, Precisely acts as a mediator and a mentor that helps students find the perfect opportunity.
Since February 2020, Precisely has added a new offering to its platform, Learnage.
It is a learning management system (LMS), available within the Precisely app, that helps coaching centres, tuition teachers, and even schools in small towns go online in a hassle-free manner.
Similar to other LMS, Learnage has features like live classes, video lectures, assignment submissions, scheduling, test prep content and more.
Precisely charges small ‘platform fee’ to students, and it also offers its backend and tech as a whitelabel solution to coaching centres and schools, which is available to them with a subscription fee.

Present Situation Of Precisely
Before evolving itself into a learning management system (LMS) as well, Precisely had around one lakh downloads across devices.
Now, since its launch, over 65,000 students have joined Precisely’s learning management system, Learnage.
Also, Learnage has an average time spent per user of 16 to 20 minutes, which is 4-5x more as compare to its earlier version of opportunity listings only.
Also, to make its platform user-oriented Precisely has enabled support for 21 Indian languages.
Future Plans Of Precisely
Precisely aims to have around 500,000 active users at the end of December 2020, and plans on to doubling that to one million by June 2021.
