Indian edtech giant BYJU’s announced that it has acquired coding edtech startup Whitehat Jr. for $300 million.

This acquisition deal by BYJU’s is among one of the biggest deals in the edtech space, and it further strengthens BYJU’s plan to expand further into the US market.

Talking about this acquisition, Byju Raveendran, Byju’s Founder and CEO, said,

“WhiteHat Jr. is the leader in the live online coding space. Karan has proven his mettle as an exceptional founder, and the credit goes to him and his team for creating coding programs that are loved by kids.”

Founded by Karan Bajaj In 2018, WhiteHat Jr is a Mumbai-based e-learning startup that focuses on teaching coding to young kids. Also, the startup recently announced its plans to expand to Australia, Canada, U.K., and New Zealand.
