Creativeland Asia Founder Acquires 40% Stake In Revenant Esports

Sajan Raj Kurup, the founder of advertising and design firm Creativeland Asia, has acquired a 40% stake in Revenant Esports LLP, an esports startup, for around $1 million (Rs 7.4 crore).

As the esports sector is becoming one of the fastest-growing industries globally, Kurup expects Revenant to grow to a Rs 150 crore company in the next 12 months.

Started by Rohit Naresh Jagasia in 2020, Revenant aims to create an engaging ecosystem that enables all endemic and non-endemic brands to use the power of esports for advertising and brand building.

Revenant partners with esports athletes across the globe, targetting both casual and pro gamers, to help brands use esports for advertising and brand building.

Rohit said that the company will focus on growth through sponsorships, merchandise, tournaments, broadcasting, and athlete management.

Founded by Sajan Raj Kurup, Creativeland Asia is in the business of creating advertising, digital and branded creative content. The firm has worked with prestigious brands such as Cinthol, Domino’s Pizza, Indeed.com, Café Coffee Day, Mercedes Benz, Audi India, Frooti, Appy Fizz, and Hippo Munchie.

According to a Deloitte India report, the online gaming industry in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 40% and estimated to reach $2.8 billion by 2022.
