To keep overall expenses of the company at a minimum during this COVID-19 situation, two top executives of Make My Trip, Deep Kalra and Rajesh Magow have decided to draw zero salaries from April 2020.

Also, the rest of MakeMyTrip’s leadership team will take around 50% reduction in their income.

In a message to the company’s employees, Deep and Rajesh said, 

“On people costs front, both of us will take the lead and take zero salary effective April 2020, while the rest of our leadership team have also offered to take a reduction of approximately 50% in their compensation.”

Deep and Rajesh also acknowledged that the travel and tourism sector is one of the worst sectors that have been hit by COVID-19.

They also said that the group is reviewing the operating costs of the company. And they plan to undertake numerous difficult measures to keep overall expenditures of the company at a minimum.
