Cloud Kitchen Operator ‘Rebel Foods’ Raises $50 Million From Coatue Management
Rebel Foods has raised $50 Million in a Series E1 funding round from its existing investor, Coatue Management.
Founded by Kallol Banerjee and Jaydeep Barman in 2010, Rebel Foods is a cloud kitchen operator with a presence across 3 countries.
Rebel Foods is present in 35 Indian cities and operates over 300 cloud kitchens and 2200 internet restaurants.
Brands like Oven Story, Mandarin Oak, Behrouz Biriyani, Firangi Bake operate under Rebel Foods and the company enjoys bigger margins than its competitor food aggregators- Swiggy and Zomato.
As per the company, it’s revenue had more than doubled from Rs 149.5 crore a year ago to Rs 310.37 crore in the financial year 2019.
