kindlife, a new-age online marketplace for beauty and wellness products, has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round.

The funding round was led by Kalaari Capital under its “CXXO initiative“, a programme aimed at creating a level playing field for Indian female founder-CEOs.

Titan Capital, TDV Capital Partners, Java Capital, and prominent investors like Pankaj Gupta (CEO at Gulf Islamic Investments LLC), Suhail Sameer (CEO at BharatPe), Shashvat Nakrani (Co-founder of BharatPe), and Manisha Raisinghani (Co-founder of LogiNext) also participated in the funding round.

Speaking on the development, Radhika Ghai, Founder and CEO of kindlife, said,

“Indian consumers want to make kinder choices, and kindlife with its community of experts, kind-brands, and robust technology will ensure that we are present every step of the way to enable these kind choices.”

Radhika added that premiumisation and up-gradation of lifestyle would fuel more than 40% of the projected growth in the Indian consumers’ demand, a trend which is also clearly visible in the recent D2C boom.

In July 2021, Kalaari Capital had started the CXXO programme and earmarked $10 million for the same. As part of the programme, the VC firm invested in edtech startup Creative Galileo, making it the first beneficiary of the CXXO programme.

Speaking about the programme and funding in kindlife, Vani Kola, Founder and Managing Director at Kalaari Capital, said,

“We believe that the role of women leaders is essential for a thriving start-up ecosystem. Radhika embodies the qualities of an ideal CXXO founder – an innovator, risk-taker, and role model to aspiring female entrepreneurs. Her passion and commitment towards sustainable living, coupled with her wealth of experience and clear vision, truly resonated with us.”
