Abhinav Girdhar is a graduate of information systems engineering from the University of Westminister. Appy Pie is the second venture launched by Abhinav, and before starting Appy Pie, Abhinav was running a media firm that specialised in website design and development, SEO, and SEM.
Appy Pie offers a bouquet of products and services that can help any business excel in a well-rounded manner leveraging the latest codeless technology for mobile apps, websites, chatbots, automation, design, knowledge base, help desk and much more.
How Appy Pie Started?
Abhinav Girdhar, a tech enthusiast, was always intrigued by the use of technology in the growth of businesses.
While working, he couldn’t help notice that some of the most brilliant business ideas wouldn’t come to life, the reason being lack of access to technology.
Being a tech lover, Abhinav knew he could use his knowledge in technology to democratise the use of tech and help businesses to grow.
So, to empower businesses and provide them with a platform that would make tech easily affordable, Abhinav started Appy Pie.

USP Of Appy Pie
Appy Pie is a no-code application development platform that allows small businesses to create Android and iOS mobile apps, websites, chatbots, graphic designs, knowledge base, etc., without any coding in a matter of minutes.
Using Appy Pie’s services, any business without prior programming experience can create tech tools, including apps, websites, chatbots, etc. Appy Pie also provides businesses with complete automation solutions.
Abhinav says,
“We provide affordable solutions for any budget. We understand the need of a business, and instead of focussing on any one aspect, we offer a portfolio of customised no-code business solutions.”
To provide most to the end-user with its platform, Appy Pie uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
Abhinav explains,
“We have been using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) extensively on Appy Pie. For instance, based on the category selected by a user, our technology integrates the most relevant features that AI thinks would benefit the end-user the most.”
Present Situation Of Appy Pie
The bootstrapped SaaS startup diversified itself from a single product SaaS to a multi-product SaaS startup.
Recently, Appy Pie launched a task automation product called ‘Connect,’ and an all-new chatbot builder. The startup is also in the process of launching a design product.
Following a subscription-based revenue model, Appy Pie offers its services starting at Rs 99 per month and can go up to Rs 5,000 per month.
Also, a user needs to invest $25 and $9 per month, respectively, which goes towards setting up a developer account with Google Play and the Apple developer programme.
Talking about the platform, Abhinav says,
“On a daily basis, we see over 10,000 apps created using our platform. To date, over seven million apps have passed through our doors. Our product is SMB-centric. However, in the last year, we have seen an influx of large enterprise customers in our client list.”
Future Plans Of Appy Pie
Appy Pie has aggressive expansion plans, and it plans to expand geographically into Japan, DACH (Austria, Germany, and Switzerland), and LATAM ( Latin America) regions.
Speaking on the plans, Abhinav says,
“Over the next five years, we aim to work on the mission to democratise application development by empowering anyone to build digital products to meet their needs. We have aggressive plans to expand geographically into Japan, DACH, and LATAM regions, so we will be investing a substantial amount in product localisation and local support.”
The SaaS startup also aims to enter into strategic tie-ups with innovative startups that have built rapidly growing businesses with clearly defined competitive advantages.
