ISRO To Provide Indian Government Geospatial Data for Improving Rural Planning
A good initiative by ISRO.
Now, Geospatial data generated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be used by the government in planning its services.
This initiative is a part of SISDP (Space-based Information Support for Decentralised Planning) and will help many rural areas of every Indian state.
ISRO will provide associated ministries high-resolution data, generated from its remote sensing satellites. The government will use this data for the planning and execution of government services that will be helpful to the masses.
For this purpose, ISRO will use its geoportal, Bhuvan Panchayat V-3.0 for data analytics, database visualization, automatic reports generation, model-based products, and services.
