Zomato is all set to launch its grocery delivery service.

As per reports, this online food ordering and delivery platform will launch its grocery delivery service named as  Zomato Market by next week.

To sell grocery products on its platform, Zomato is in talks with online grocery retailers, Grofers and Bigbasket.

Possibly, Zomato has chosen the right time to launch Zomato Market as there is a surge in demand for home delivery of grocery, due to social distancing norms imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the panic caused by COVID-19, Bigbasket and Grofers saw over 80% spike in their orders. Whereas, there is a decline in online food ordering by around 20%.
